CLOYD D. SEELEY

Our lives have been richly blessed by having such a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, Cloyd D. Seeley returned home Friday, March 31, 1995. He loved life to the end and lived courageously for those who loved him. A special appreciation is extended to his friends at the Utah Dialysis Center and all his care givers.

Cloyd D. Seeley was born November 18, 1915 in Storrs, Utah to Azel Ward and Ivo Rasmussen Seeley. He loved his brothers Ward, Max and DeVon and the joy of his life was his dear sister Maxine Knoble McKee. He was proud of his heritage and served as former president of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and was an officer in the Seeley Family Organization. Dad made a great decision to marry Zada Thursby August 1, 1940 in Ephraim, Utah and that marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 5, 1941. This choice couple were wonderful parents to seven children including Thera (Carl) Clark, serving an LDS mission in Papua, New Guinea; Colleen (Bruno) Kossin, N. Salt Lake, Utah; LaVona (Lane) Lewis, N. Salt Lake, Utah; Kent (Stephanie) Seeley, Woods Cross, Utah; Annette (Greg) Earl, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Debra (Brett) Hancock, Maeser, Utah; 34 grandchildren (two currently serving LDS missions in Pittsburgh, Penn. and Hartford, Conn.) and five great-grandchildren. WE WILL ALL MISS YOU!

Dad loved the outdoors and was an avid horseman. He shared his ponies and cart with many local elementary children and grandchildren. Serving others was his gift and he believed "what you give others comes back to you ten-fold." He was a High Priest in the Bountiful 20th Ward and former home teacher and ward clerk. Honesty and integrity were his strengths. He founded and was former president of Steel Coatings, Inc. and he generously included his family and friends in this organization. Dad personified charity, his life and example is our legacy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 1995, 12 noon at the Bountiful 20th Ward, 102 E. 1400 So., Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family are invited to pay respects Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, and prior to the service Tuesday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the Bountiful 20th Ward. Interment at Lakeview Memorial Estates by the Bountiful Temple.
