Corning, N.Y. — Darlene J. Seeley, RN, age 52, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Corning Hospital following a courageous battle with Lupus. She was born on September 27, 1956, in Fort Monmouth, NJ, the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Heath) Edmonds. She married Frank Seeley on July 11, 1977, at the First Presbyterian Church of Geneva.

Darlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Painted Post and worked as a registered nurse at Corning Hospital in the ICU. She enjoyed camping, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her cats. Darlene was always willing to help out.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Frank Seeley, Jr.; children and their spouses: Franklin Lee and Autumn Seeley IV of Corning, Amanda Lynn and Mike Seeley-Cervoni of Painted Post, and Travis Justin and Renee Seeley of Corning; her parents, Richard and Mildred Edmonds of Waikiki, HI; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and John Tinoglio of Hemlock, NY; brother, Dale Edmonds of Syracuse, NY; and her inlaws, Frank and Faye Seeley of Geneva, NY. She also has nine grandchildren: Kayla, Franklin V, Adam, Fayellen, Alyssa, Christian, Justin, Hannah, and Haley, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 9666 Chatfield Place, Painted Post, NY, on Friday, March 20, 2009, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the church following calling hours at 1:00 pm with President Anthony Frutos officiating. Burial will take place at Hope Cemetery in Corning.
