HOOPER-- Our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dean Garth Seeley, died peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the age of 75.

Dean was born June 27, 1925 in Hayden, Utah, a son of Dean Winters and Margaret Abbeglan Seeley. On March 28, 1987, Dean married Anna H. Christiansen in Hooper. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints Hooper 2nd Ward. Dean entered the World War II service in 1943 and attended Radio School at Boston Radio School, Gallup Island Boston. He served on the SS Zachary Taylor as a Radiotelegraph 2nd Class Operator. He also was assigned to the SS Abigail Adams, William F. McArthur, Brown Victory, and SS Caloria. He served in the Mediterranean Middle East War Zone, Pacific War Zone, Atlantic War Zone, and received medals from each of those areas. Dean was honorably discharged on June 20, 1957 as a Corporal Sig C A U S. He retired from the Newspaper Agency Corporation after working as an advertising executive for the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News. He also served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Sugar House. Dean's love of travel took him to many wonderful places all over the world.

Surviving are his wife, Anna, of Hooper; four daughters and one son, Barbara (Khossrow) Assadi, Dawn (Roger) Baron, Deena McDonald, Sharon Seeley, Robert Seeley, eight grandchildren, two step-daughters and three step-sons, Linda (Larry) Slade, Kathy (Michael) Young, Charles (Daryl) Christiansen, Paul (Terri) Christiansen, Kevin (Marci) Christiansen, 16 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Dean is also survived by one sister, Helen (Boyd) Phillips, one brother, Henry Dale Seeley, and one sister-in-law, Salome (Grant) Seeley. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Grant and Robert.

We would like to thank Dr. Seth R. Lewis for his care. "We'll miss your sweet smile and gentle spirit".

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45a.m.

Interment, Elysian Gardens, Salt Lake City.
