Donald DeWayne Seeley, 57, died Monday, April 20, 2009, at his home in Emporia. He had cancer.

Mr. Seeley worked at Iola Milling in Iola before he moved to Emporia where he worked at Flint Hills Feed Lot from 1984 to 1992. He then worked at Interstate Brands until ill health forced him to retire in 2006.

The son of John Wesley and Thelma Fern Daily Seeley, he was born Nov. 12, 1951, at Burlington. He married Gladys Thompson on June 12, 1984, at Iola. She survives.

Mr. Seeley is also survived by four daughters, Tawanna Wright of Bushong, Elnita Russell of Topeka, Leona Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Crystal, address unknown; one son, John Lloyd Morris of Topeka; one sister, Judy Kemp of Emporia; three brothers, Billy Seeley of Burlington, Charles Seeley of Iola and Michael Seeley of Fairbanks, Alaska; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His parents; two brothers, Earnest Seeley and Johnny Seeley; and a sister, Wanita Seeley, died earlier.

Mr. Seeley was cremated, with no services planned at this time.
