Dorothy E. Seeley, 92, of Stonehill Care Center, formerly of 3525 Windsor Ave., died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Stonehill.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Steve Rosonke officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.

She was born on June 22, 1916, in Dubuque, daughter of Albert and Margaret (Reuter) Schuster. She married Gaylon "Chum" Seeley on April 22, 1940, in Galena, Ill.; he preceded her in death on March 1, 1980.

Dorothy was employed as a bakery manager for 17 years at the Milkhouse and also worked at Sfikas Restaurant for six years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Dorothy loved being with people and especially enjoyed the time she spent at Alverno Apartments. She also was an avid card player.

Surviving are a son, James (Karen) Seeley, of Bellevue; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Langheim; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Seeley, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, John and Tom; a brother, Donald (Agnes) Schuster; and a brother-in-law, Robert Langheim.

A Dorothy E. Seeley Memorial Fund has been established.
