Earl E. Seeley, 86, of 26 Lake St., who served the town and village of LeRoy for 30 years as town councilman, village trustee and mayor, dies at Genesee Memorial at 9:45 P.M. Sunday (June 3, 1973), his 86th birthday anniversary. He was a patient for a month.

Mr. Seeley was born at Bergen, June 3, 1887, a son of Chester and Nancy Hall Seeley. Former property manager for the late Donald Woodward and a self-employed contractor, Mr. Seeley spent most of his life in Le Roy. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Botts – Fiorito Post American Legion; Le Roy War Dads and Knights of Columbus. He was the husband of Matilda Kurtz Seeley who died in 1957.

Surviving are two sons, Rolland J. of 16 Elm St. and Gerald E. of 26 Lake St.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Wednesday June 6, at St. Peter’s Church. Interment was in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Le Roy Volunteer Ambulance Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were completed by the Funeral Home of H. Steuber & Son.
