Edward John Seeley, 65, of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Oct. 24, 2009 of liver disease. He was born Feb. 3, 1944 in Vancouver and lived in Clark County nearly all his life, including, Hazel Dell, Brush Prairie, and Vancouver. In 1990, Ed lived on Archer Mountain in Skamania until 1994 when he had a stroke.

He was in the Army from 1960-1964, traveling to many Eastern states and he also spent time in Germany.

Ed worked for Crown Zellerbach in Camas, WA for 30 years as a fork lift operator and in Washougal, WA for non-woven fabrics.

His favorite things to do were to visit ghost/mining towns, being alone in the mountains, or traveling in his motorhome to spend time in Nevada and Arizona where it was warm.

Edward is survived by his son, Ray Seeley of Vancouver; sisters, Kay Wood of Woodland, WA and Pat Bryant of Vancouver; grandsons, Raymond John Seeley of Vancouver and Brent Borowski of Brush Prairie; granddaughter, Sasha Borowski of Brush Prairie; and son-in-law, Terry Borowski of Brush Prairie.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shawn Borowski in 2004; brothers, David and Dick Seeley; and mother, Kathrine Seeley; and his dog, Midget in 2005.

A Celebration of Life with refreshments will be held Sat., Nov. 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Manor Grange, 17901 NE 72nd Ave., Battle Ground, WA 98604.

Edward John Seeley, 65, died Oct. 24, 2009, in Vancouver. Seeley was born Feb. 3, 1944 in Vancouver and lived in Clark County most of his life including Hazel Dell, Brush Prairie and Vancouver. From 1990 until 1994, he lived in Skamania. Seeley served in the Army from 1960 until 1964, traveling to the eastern U.S. and Germany. He worked for Crown Zellerbach in Camas for 30 years. He also worked in Washougal for non-woven fabrics. Seeley enjoyed old ghost towns, being alone in the mountains and traveling in his motorhome to Nevada and Arizona where it was warm. Seeley was preceded in death by daughter Shawn Borowski in 2004, brothers David Seeley and Dick Seeley, mother Kathrine Seeley, and his dog, Midget. Survivors include son Ray Seeley of Vancouver, sisters Kay Wood of Woodland and Pat Bryant of Vancouver, son-in-law Terry Borowski and his wife Dana of Brush Prairie, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A celebration of life event will be held Sat., Nov. 14, 11 a.m., at Manor Grange, 17901 NE 72nd Ave., Battle Ground, with Layne’s Funeral Home, Battle Ground, in charge of arrangements.
