Passed away peacefully March 23, 2006, husband of Marian Fiorelli for 60 years. Ed resided at the Spokane Veterans Home for the past five months because of illness. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie. He is survived by his wife, Marian; son, Kelly and grandson Matthew who reside in Penn Valley, CA; two granddaughters, Meagan and Jamie; two great-granddaughters, Julieanne and Ashley; sister, Betty, and brother Chester both of Edina, MN. He was born in Hewitt, MN and graduated from Eagle Bend High School, Eagle Bend, MN in 1942. He entered the US Navy in 1943, during WWII, and took basic training at Farragut, ID. He spent 2 years in Okinawa as an Electrician. He returned home, married, and was assigned additional schooling at Great Lakes, IL. His remaining 2 years were aboard the USS Harwood. Ed began his civilian life working for Cal Tech's Wind Tunnel in Pasadena, CA as a Sr. Design Engineer. Later he worked for Westinghouse and Fairchild R&D, Palo Alt, CA. He survived colon cancer and moved to Spokane to rehabilitate. He returned to CA working in Computer Systems for Motorola, San Jose, where he retired in 1987 and moved to Nevada City, CA. His final retirement was in 1995 when he moved to Spokane. Ed's hobbies were fishing, camping, and boating. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren, and all the family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 304 S. Adams Rd. Spokane Valley.
