Edwin Seeley of Forestburgh, a retired superintendent for the Town of Forestburgh and a lifelong resident of the area, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000 in Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 92.

The son of the late David and Ethel Sprague Seeley, he was born Sept. 6, 1908 in Livingston Manor.

He was the widower of Amelia Avery Seeley.

He was a charter member of Forestburgh Fire Dept. and a member of BPO Elk’s Lodge # 1544 Monticello. He was an avid hunter and fisherman having been a member of the former Boys of Birch Hunting Camp.

Survivors include one daughter, Iva Clark and her husband Arthur of Rock Hill; one brother, Glenn Seeley of Palm Harbor, Fla.; three sisters, Ruby Romolo and Clara Winner, both of Livingston Manor and Margie Smith of Schenectady; three granddaughters, Tiffany, Jahn, Barbara Shapiro and Linda Goetz; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 195 Broadway, Monticello. Firematic services will be held at 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17 at the funeral home Pastor Alex McLean will officiate.

Burial will be in Budd Cemetery, Monticello.
