Elizabeth M. Seeley "Liz", age 94, devoted wife of the late Samuel D. Seeley, Sr. returned home to Jesus on Monday, December 5, 2011. Born in Miami, Florida, she was a life-long resident of Trumbull, CT. Liz lived a rich and vibrant life. Her church, Long Hill United Methodist, was the cornerstone of her faith and social life. Among her many interests were bible study, the Audubon Society and contract bridge. Her bird-watching took her to Kenya, Tanzania and Australia. One of the ways Liz put her faith into action was through Hospice, where she volunteered many years, helping families in their time of need. Her acts of generosity and compassion were countless. Liz is survived by her children; Eunice Jane Seeley, Suzannah Seeley Heyde and her husband Ronald of Florida, Samuel D. Seeley, II and his wife Ramona Riccio Seeley and Virginia Seeley; her grandchildren Ashley Sengalliesi, Haley Sengalliesi, Samuel D. Seeley, III, Annamarie Seeley, Teresa Seeley, Mario Seeley and her great-grandson, Dominic. She was predeceased by her husband and seven siblings. A memorial service will be held at Long Hill United Methodist Church at 10am, Saturday December 10, 2011. The Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT is in charge of the arrangements.
