Ellene G. Seeley, 77, of Elyria died Friday at Allen Memorial Hospital in Oberlin after a long illness.

She was born in Killbuck, Ohio, and had lived in Wellington for many years. In 1992, she and her husband moved to the Elyria Retirement Center in Elyria.

She belonged to Temple Charter Order of Eastern Star in Wellington. She enjoyed knitting, crafts, flower gardening and playing the organ at home.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles W.; a daughter, Charlene Brumfield of Winter Haven, Fla.; sons Leland of Wellington, and Thomas and Douglas, both of Columbus; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jean Gould of Elyria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evert and Mary Croskey; a sister, Madge Leonard; and brothers Leland and Almus Croskey.

Private family services will be Monday at Norton Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, with the Rev. Philip Kuntz officiating.

Burial will be in Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the minibus service on public square in Wellington.
