Ellen G. Seeley NORFOLK - Ellen Goodwin Seeley, 91, of Talbot Park, passed away June 28, 2011. Mrs. Seeley was born in Norfolk Jan. 10, 1920. She was predeceased by her parents, Marie D. Royal and James A. Goodwin and husband, Harry Silas Seeley. She is survived by her sister, Grace G. Smith; brother, Archie F. Seay and his wife Jo-Anne; nephews, Theodore R. Smith Jr. and Todd F. Seay; niece, Ellen Anne S. Young and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She and her husband enjoyed serving the floral needs of generations of families for 55 years while operating A.W. Seeley & Sons Florist. Ellen was a faithful member of the congregation of Epworth United Methodist Church. During her life, she enjoyed traveling, golfing and playing bridge. Affectionately known as "Warnie," she was truly loved by family and friends. Her zest for life and her sense of humor was infectious to all those who knew her. A funeral will be held Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church by the Pastor Gay Hall. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 124 W. Freemason St., Norfolk, VA 23510.
