BROADALBIN – Ellis N. Seeley, 84, of Cayuga Avenue, died Saturday at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam.

Mr. Seeley was born in Fish House and was a member of the first graduating class of the former Broadalbin High School in 1935.

He lived in Amsterdam before moving to Broadalbin 24 years ago.

He was employed as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 166 of Schenectady.

Mr. Seeley was a member of the Northampton United Methodist Church at Fish House and the Galway Senior Citizens.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Miller Seeley, who he married Dec. 4, 1937; a son Robert Seeley of Broadalbin; a daughter, Janice Jordan of Fort Johnson; three sisters, Amy Fairchild of Gloversville, Charlotte Sinkora of Malta and Florence Skelley of Amsterdam; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home 38 W. Main Street.

Burial will be in Northampton Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Seeley may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Albany Medical Center in care of the Funeral Home
