DELHI – Elmer A. Seeley, 80, of Delhi, died in his sleep early Sunday morning in his home in Delhi.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 17 at the Hall Funeral Home, Delhi with the Rev. Gene Black, pastor of the Delhi Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Margaretville.

Mr. Seeley was born May 28, 1879 in South Caanan, Pa., a son of Samuel and Margaret Seeley. He married Evelyn Dickson on Feb. 23, 1916 in Arena.

He was station agent and telegraph operator for the former Delaware and Northern Railroad. He lived 37 years in Arena and was a resident of Delhi for the past five years.

He was a member of the Delhi Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his wife are one son, Russell of Delhi; a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Shook, Luzerne, Pa.; one brother, Egbert Seeley, Waymart, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Charles Oaks, Homesdale, Pa. and ten grandchildren.
