BEACON - Evelyn A. Seeley, 83, a longtime Beacon resident, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manhattan on April 11, 1918, she was the daughter of Edward A. and Mary Agnes Heading Chrinian. Mrs. Seeley is survived by her son, Terrence M. Seeley of Wassaic; three daughters, Lorraine Zeiss and her husband, Wilbur of Copiague, N.Y., Barbara J. Powlis and her husband, Jeffrey of Beacon and Michelle A. Choffie and her husband, Joseph of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Gerard Chrinian of New Windsor and Arthur Chrinian of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Florence V. Allen of Tempe, Ariz. and Marion Pietrowski of Beacon; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 27, 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Peter T. and William J. Halvey, Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon. If roses grow in Heaven, Lord, Please pick a bunch for me Place them in my mothers arms And tell her theyre from me. Tell her I love and miss her And when she turns to smile Place a kiss upon her cheek And hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy I do it every day.
