Floyd James Jr. Age 64 formerly of Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday September 30, 2001 at Troy Community Hospital. Mr. Seeley was born January 23, 1937 in Canton, PA the son of the late Floyd Lewis Seeley and Lena Harriett Scarvani Seeley. Floyd was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country with the US Army and a member of Clarence R. Oliver American Legion Post #154 in Elmira Heights, NY. He was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads. Floyd was a retired accounting clerk with the U.S. Post Office in Elmira, NY. Floyd is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy & Alfred Russo of Beaver Dams, NY, Karen & Gary Landis of Corning, NY, and Kim & Ronald Abbott of Corning, NY; son and daughter-in-law: Timothy & Sherry Seeley of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Todd Russo, Michele Russo, Aspyn Landis, Austin Landis, Jessica Abbott, Sarah Abbott, Grace Seeley, and Tammy Adams; great granddaughter: Aly Adams; sisters: Marie Shay of Alpine, NY and Alice Denkenberger of Horseheads, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Van Buskirk-Lynch Funeral Home Mill St. & Grand Central Ave. Horseheads, NY on Wednesday October 3, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Floyd's Life will be celebrated on Thursday October 4, 2001 at 11 AM in St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W. Broad St. & Westinghouse Road in Horseheads, NY. The Rev Stephen Karani will be the Celebrant of Floyd's Funeral Mass. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Seeley. The family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may remember Floyd through memorials to The Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association, The Arctic League 114 W. Second St. Elmira, NY 14901, or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
