SEELEY -- Floyd Joseph Seeley, 75, born July 5, 1925, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Elizabeth Finnegan and Floyd E. Seeley, died on Monday, June 11, 2001. He graduated from Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre, PA, in 1943 and married Isabella Perry in 1946. Floyd is survived by his wife, Isabella, sons, Steve Seeley and wife, Carolyn of Atlanta, GA, Mike Seeley and wife, Louise of Calistoga, CA and Chuck Seeley and wife, Colleen of Corrales, NM; grandchildren, Ryan and Erin Seeley of Atlanta, GA, Amber Seeley, Dallas, TX, Mike Seeley, Fort Worth, TX, Drew Seeley, Georgetown, TX, Ben Dion of Calistoga, CA, Martin and Matthew Seeley of Corrales, NM. Floyd entered the U.S. Army in September of 1943 and served with the 90th Infantry Division in Europe. He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart while serving in France, and was recently awarded the Croix de Guerre by France, presented by Rep. Heather Wilson. His military service included action in World War II and the Korean War, and spanned the period 1943 to 1964. He served as a civilian with the US Army Counter Intelligence Corps from 1964 to 1972, and with the Federal Aviation Administration from 1972 to 1993. He retired in 1993 with over 49 years of Federal Service. Floyd was a member of the NE Albuquerque Church of Christ. He also was a member of the following organizations: Temple Lodge 6, AF & AM, Albuquerque, NM, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Santa Fe, NM; Ballut Abyad Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Albuquerque, NM and the American Legion. Services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E. with Mr. John Phillis officiating. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, June 14, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to NE Albuquerque Church of Christ Building Fund, 7102 Whitewood Ct. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
