Frank Seeley Dies, In His 74th Year
Frank F. Seeley, 73, who retired three years ago after having completed 54 years with the Central Hudson Gas and Electric corporation, died today in Vassar hospital. Mr. Seeley, who had made his home at 104 South Cherry street for many years, had been ill the last two months. His wife, Mrs. Emma Cook Seeley, whom he married in Highland, May 12, 1928, died in 1943.
Born here Dec. 31, 1883, Mr. Seeley was educated in local school and had always made his home here. He was the son of the late Frank and Anna Walker Seeley.
A member of Poughkeepsie lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, Mr. Seeley also was a member of the Lady Washington Hose company and the Exempt Firemen’s association.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Olson, city, and Mrs. Caroline Barton, Highland, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 20 Smith street, 2 o’clock, Friday. The Rev. Charles Willcox, rector of the Church of the Holy Comforter, will officiate. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery, under the direction of the McCornac Funeral service. Friends may call at 20 Smith street Wednesday and Thursday night. Services will be conducted at 20 Smith street at 8 o’clock Thursday night.
