SEELEY, GEORGE AUSTIN – Following a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B. on May 2, 2002, Mr. George Austin Seeley of 433 Main Street East, Beaver Harbour, N.B. Born in Saint John on July 3, 1940, he was the son of the late George and Olga (McNeill) Seeley. A loving father and brother, George is survived by a daughter, Melody Dawn Seeley of Saint John; one sister, Lorraine Whittier of Beaver Harbour; four aunts, Grace Leslie of Back Bay; Bernice Stewart (Merlin) of Blacks Harbour; Elizabeth Hooper of Back Bay and Helen McDonald of Kingston, Ontario; one uncle, Carroll Daley (Freda) of St. Stephen; two nephews, one niece and several cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Ronald. George had been employed by Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbor as a Maintenance worker. He was a skilled and creative metal worker. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 39 Blacks Harbour. He will be sadly missed by his many friends.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B. (755-3533) from where the service will be held on Sunday at 2 PM with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. Interment at the Blacks Harbour Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Remembrances in George’s memory to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
