George Perley Seeley

George P. Seeley George P. Seeley 89 of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Lower Coverdale passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 11th, 2007. Born in Victoria Corner, George was the son of the late E. Claude and Josephine (Foster) Seeley.

George was retired from Northern Electric, Moncton with over 30 years service and was formerly employed with Action Fasteners Ltd. He was a member of Highfield St. Baptist Church, former Deacon and Choir member, served his church in various other capacities. He was a veteran of the 2nd World War, served overseas with the North Shore Regiment, Canadian Army. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hobby farming, needlework, knitting, rug hooking, however, over the years his family always came first.

George will be sadly missed by his daughters, Anne Buck (Ken), Lower Coverdale, Jeanne Lipscombe (Gary), Marilla Harris (William), Muriel Carter (Robert), all of Moncton; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Proud (Jack); sister-in-law, Beryl Grant, all of Moncton; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Grant) (2000); infant sister, Margaret; sister, Pauline; and brother, Lorne.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday, March 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, Moncton Legion #6 memorial service to be held Wednesday at 4pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday March 15th, 2007, 3:30pm. Rev. Jonathan Steeper, Rev. Philip Styles officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Wilmot Cemetery, Lower Coverdale. In George's memory, donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care), Highfield St. Baptist Church Memorial Fund or memorial of choice would be appreciated by the family.

SEELEY - The funeral service for the late George Perley Seeley was held recently from Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Steeper and Rev. Phil Styles officiating. Judy Parks provided the music, singing "O That Will Be Glory" and "Does Jesus Care" along with the congregational hymn "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were friend Richard Terrio, sons-in-law Kenneth Buck, Gary Lipscombe and Bill Harris; grandsons Peter Buck, Grant and Derek Lipscombe, Mark and David Harris; grandsons-in-law Joseph Howe, Stephen Budd, Kevin Walsh, John Walchuk and Kim Mabey. Internment was in the Wilmot Cemetery in May. Rev. Stephen Budd conducted a lovely committal service. We want to thank many people for their help and support especially over the last few months of Dad's life, including Carole Paquin, Extra-Mural, Pat and Alice from Bayshore Home Health, the Palliative Care Team; Drs. Burry and Laughlin, Bev Buckingham and the Staff of the Fernwood wing of Kenneth Spencer Home. Thank you to Wendell Ferguson and Staff of Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home; to Pastors Steeper and Styles for visits and for the beautiful service and to Pastor Kenneth Raines of Lower Coverdale Baptist Church for visits in the hospital. Last but not least, thanks to family, friends, church families for visits, prayers, food, memorials, flowers, visits at home, hospital and funeral home. The day finally came when we had to give up our parents' presence on earth, but we know they're together again in Heaven and look forward to seeing them someday.
