GORDON W. SEELEY, JR.

Gordon W. Seeley, Jr. of Troy, RR 1, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 1995, at home.

Born May 16, 1946, in Towanda, he was the son of Gordon and Mary Lenox Seeley.

He was a Troy High School graduate and worked with his father at G.W. Seeley Oil until 1988, then with Williams Oil Company.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lenox Seeley in 1978 and his stepmother, Dolly Paffendorf Seeley in 1995.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Karen Depew Seeley; a son, Steven Seeley, stationed with the U.S. Seabees in Little Creek, Va.; a daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Suzanne, Bradley and Tyler VanNoy of Granville; his father, Gordon Seeley of Leona Road, Troy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Marge Seeley of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., Dr. Raymond and Betsi Seeley of Troy; brother, John Seeley of Troy; sister Sara Dunbar of Troy; and sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Tom Chappell of Coudersport; step-sister and brothers, Debbie Levan, Curt Tofts, both of Troy and Randy Tofts of Connecticutt; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Vickery Funeral Home, West Main St., Troy.

A prayer vigil was held at the funeral home.

Deacon William Graham officiated.

A funeral mass was held at St. John’s Catholic Church, Troy, on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Father Stephen McGough officiated.

Burial was made in St. John’s Cemetery.
