Hannah E. Seeley

Hannah E. Seeley, wife of Ernest Seeley, died at their home in Constantine at 10:45 last night after a short illness although she had been in declining health for some years.

She was born in Constantine township near the Brick Chapel May 9, 1895, a daughter of Zephaniah and Permillia Eager. When a small child the family moved to Cas county, west of Jones, where she spent nine years of her life.

On April 11, 1889 she was married to Mr. Seeley. They began housekeeping in Fabius Township on the farm now owned by Charles Seeley where they lived two and a half years. In the fall of 1891 they moved onto a farm west of Constantine where they lived until they came to Constantine in 1919.

Mrs. Seeley was a member of the Royal Neighbors and in 1902 she joined the Baptist church in Porter Township after moving to Constantine transferred her membership to the Methodist Episcopal church there. She possessed a pleasing personality, a kind and loving disposition and made a wide circle of friends in the different communities where she lived.

Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Eva C. Parmeter of Constantine, one son Ray E. Seely of Grand Rapids, three grandchildren, Lucille and Florence Parmeter of Constantine and Leo Seeley of Grand Rapids. Two brothers Ephriam and Zepheniah Wager of Constantine an many other relatives.

Funeral services will be held from her home at three o’clock eastern standard time Sunday. Rev. Cosner officiating. Interment will be in the Constantine cemetery.
