Hazel J. Seeley, 90, of Cass City died Friday, May 2, 2003 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 at Cass City United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Ward officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kranz Funeral Home in Cass City, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church.

Hazel J. Seeley, 90, of Cass City, died Friday, May 2, 2003 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born June 11, 1912 in Cass City to Homer and Eva (Brown) Hower. She married Hollis C. Seeley September 5, 1936 in Dearborn. He died January 18, 1967.

Hazel attended County Normal and received her teaching certificate. She taught school in country schools for six years. Hazel enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, knitting and cooking. She enjoyed making each of her grandchildren their favorite cookies. She was a member of the Cass City Art Club. Hazel had the longest continuous membership in Salem United Methodist Church, now Cass City United Methodist Church.

Hazel is survived by her daughters: Sherryl Seeley of Cass City, Janis Seeley of Cass City; grandchildren: Jeff (Nikki) Seeley, Chris (Carrie) Seeley, Kim (John) Thompson, Brian Seeley; great grandchildren: Cadence, Courtney, Carissa, Caleb, Michael, Brandon and Emily; sister, Audrey Katzenberger of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Charles Seeley; daughter, Kathleen Seeley; infant sisters: Alvah and Ruth; sisters: Helen Hower and Betty Kirn.

Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2003 at Cass City United Methodist Church, Cass City, with Rev. George Ward officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Seeley: Paul Smith, Mick Kirn, Ron Seeley, Bill Ehrlich, Bill Ehrlich Jr., Wayne Seeley, Pat Price, Tim Anthes. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church.
