GRANITE QUARRY – The funeral will be Thursday for Helen Kenny Seeley, 69, Granite Quarry, who died Saturday (Nov. 29, 2003) at Presbyterian Main Hospital, Charlotte.

Born Nov. 19, 1934 in Worcester, Mass., Mrs. Seeley attended school and college in New York State. She was a teacher.

A quilter, she was a member of Starry Night, Garden Group, S&R Quilters, M&Ms, and Day & Night and Guild Quilters Association. She was a Methodist.

A son, Paul Todd Seeley, died Sept. 25, 1996.

Survivors include husband John Thorpe Seeley, who she married Jan. 20, 1961; sons Rex Seeley, Kissimmee, Fla., and John Seeley III, Frewsburg, N.Y.; daughter Tina Bailey, Rockwell; and nine grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, conducted by the Rev. Jim Mitchner of Jamestown, N.Y. Burial, Ursinus United Church of Christ cemetery.

Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

GRANITE QUARRY, N.C. - Helen Kenny Seeley, 69, died Saturday (Nov. 29, 2003) in Presbyterian Main Hospital, Charlotte, N.C.

She was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Worcester, Mass.

She attended school and college in New York state and had been employed as a school teacher. She was a member of Starry Nite, Garden Group, S&R Quilters, M&M's, Day and Night, Guild Quilters Associations. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her husband, John Thorpe Seeley, whom she married Jan. 20, 1961; two sons: Rex Seeley of Kissimmee, Fla., and John Seeley III of Frewsburg; a daughter, Tina Bailey of Rockwell, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Todd Seeley, who died Sept. 25, 1996.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Powles Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell, N.C. The Rev. Jim Mitchner of Jamestown will officiate. Burial will be in Ursinus United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
