ARTESIA - Helen K. Seeley, 97, of Artesia, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, in California. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Terpening & Son Mortuary. Local survivors include her daughter Barbara Kelly and husband Ron, of Carlsbad.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2007,at Terpening & Son Mortuary, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Seeley, 97, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in California.

Mrs. Seeley was born August 15, 1910; the daughter of Charles R. Coffin and Flora Pauline (Roberts) Coffin.

In 1935 she was married to Reynolds W. "Rex" Seeley in Lovington, N.M. Her husband preceded her in death June 9, 1973. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Marynette Seeley.

A lifelong area resident, she was a homemaker, worked several years for Dr. J. K. Woodlee; and attended Eighth & Grand Church of Christ.

Survivors include sons Robert R. Seeley and wife Dee of Hope, N.M., and Ed Seeley of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughters Barbara Kelly and husband Ron of Carlsbad, Calif., and Kathleen DuBose and husband Tom of Brawley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
