Helen Quinn Seeley Helen Quinn Seeley of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, December 20, 2004.

She was born on August 23, 1916 and grew up in New York City, NY, where she began her lifelong devotion to the Yankees. She attended mass daily at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Helen was the loving wife of the late Lewis E. Seeley for more than 50 years. Helen and Lew moved to Wilmington 20 years ago after Lew retired from his career in the U.S. Navy and from Dartmouth College. She will long be remembered for her generous spirit, boundless good humor, quiet independence and unfailing kindheartedness.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Mary Moring and her husband, Doug, of Evanston, IL, Julia Emlen and her husband, Rob, of Seakonk, MA and Lorraine Buell and her husband Ken, of San Ramone, CA; along with 5 grandchildren, Tom, Jean, Kate, Dan and Nick.

She is also survived by a brother, James Quinn; and sisters, Elizabeth Tighe and Bernadette Butler. Helen was a dearly loved aunt to a host of nieces and nephews including the family of Charles and Bernadette Butler of Wilmington.

Memorial services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Jeanne Jugan Residence, Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
