Helen Smith Seeley, age 95, of Provo passed away October 4, 2011 in Orem, Utah. She was born July 9, 1916 in New York City, a daughter of Sydney and Anna Hoff Smith. She married Robert Seeley June 1, 1936. Their marriage was solemnized on November 8, 1977 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

Helen attended business school and worked as a secretary for many years. Helen honorably served her country as a U.S. Marine during World War II, while her husband served in the U.S. Navy. She loved to crochet and tat, her family were the recipient of many beautiful treasures.

Helen was a gifted poet, having some of her poems published. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter Sondra Madson, her son Eugene Seeley. Her Grandchildren include Jonna Lewis, Sarah Seeley, Mary Anne Seeley, Tate Madson and Vance Madson, as well as her great-grandchildren Riley, McKay, Jackson, Kristen and Kelly Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband and her only sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the Grandview 6th Ward Chapel, 1850 West 1600 North, Provo. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment will be in the Santa Rosa Memorial Park Cemetery, Santa Rosa California.
