H.E. Seeley, Retired Oil Producer, Dies

Funeral Services to Be Held Monday for Well Known Resident

Funeral services for Herman Eric Seeley, 62, well-known resident of this vicinity and retired oil producer, who died at his home in Derrick City at 5 a.m. Friday, will be held on Monday, July 31. A prayer service will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Seeley had been in ill health for the past three years but his condition was not considered critical until Thursday.

Deceased was born in Gilmore on May 16, 1882, and lived there all his life. He was active in the oil business and retired a few years ago because of ill health. He was the son of the late Wallace Seeley, prominent pioneer family of this vicinity.

Survivors besides his widow, Mrs. Adella Seeley, include a daughter, Mrs. Richard Gilbert of Derrick City; four grandchildren, Herman, Barbara, Parthena and Robert Gilbert: one sister, Mrs. Francis Heller, of Bradford, and a niece, Mrs. Walter Douglas of Salamanca, N.Y.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Koch-Chittley Memorial Chapel.
