VERNAL – Hyrum Ernest Seeley, 82, died Sunday, 1:45 p.m. in a Vernal hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. Born Dec. 1, 1878, Mona, Juab County, to Hyrum and Mary Goldbrough Seeley. Married Catherine Wightman April 23, 1906, Ogden. Stockman, member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Longtime member Bureau of Land Management advisory board for Vernal area, past president Uintah County Cattle and Horse Growers Assn. Survivors: widow; two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Smith, Mrs. Hope Preece, both Vernal; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, brothers, sister, J.S. Seeley, Hazelton, Idaho; Alvin, Ashton, Idaho; Lyman A., Salt Lake City; Mrs. Sarah Scow, Rexburg, Idaho. Funeral Wednesday, 1 p.m. Ashley LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Mortuary Tuesday, 7-9 p.m., Wednesday prior. Burial Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
