Inger Marie Andersen Seeley

SMITHFIELD, Cache County – Mrs. Inger Marie Andersen Seeley, 82, native of Denmark and early Utah resident, died Friday evening at the home of a son, Seren W. Seeley, 196 S. 2nd East, Smithfield.

She was born in Denmark, May 10, 1869, a daughter of Soren and Elizabeth Plowan Andersen. As a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she came to the United States in 1883, settling in Ogden. Later she moved to Smithfield, where she had resided for over 68 years.

She married Robert W. Seeley, in Ogden in 1892. He died in February, 1934.

Mrs. Seeley had been active in the L D S church, belonging to the Smithfield Third ward. She had been a semi-invalid for 30 years.

Surviving are two sons, Seren Seeley, Smithfield, and R.W. Seeley, Reno, Nev.; a brother, Soren Andersen, Butte, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. W.G. Reese, Benson, and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Smithfield Third ward L D S chapel by R.H. Toolson, bishop.

Friends may call at the family home in Smithfield Monday evening and Tuesday until time of services. Burial will be in the family plot of Smithfield cemetery under the direction of Sterling Nelson funeral home of Logan.
