IRENE A. SEELEY, 65, of West Creek, EAGLESWOOD TOWNSHIP, passed away Wednesday, May 28, at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was a long time West Creek resident. She was a lifetime member with 40 years at the Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary, member of the Red Hatter Society, and secretary at The Eagleswood Elementary School for 33+ years. She helped many generations of students. Irene also worked at Grants, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart for many years, always assisting customers with their needs.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis C. Seeley Sr., artist, and 40+ year member of the Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Co.; her two sons, William L. Seeley, and wife Donna, both 20-year members of the Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Co. Willy is a district warden, NJFFS, and Dennis C. Seeley Jr., also fireman and deputy fire warden, NJFFS, also Chaplain/Instructor at the Ocean County Fire Academy; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Seeley left behind many generations of friends, co-workers, and excellent memories. She will always be remembered for the love she had, to help people as her family. She will be missed.

A viewing will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service at noon at Wood Funeral Home, 134 E. Main St., Tuckerton. Burial will follow at West Creek Cemetery, West Creek. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Eagleswood P.T.A., or Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Thank you from the family. Irene says "thanks for being good friends."
