JACK SEELEY, 90 OWNED CHELSEA FURNITURE STORE

RANDOLPH - Jack Seeley, 90, of Randolph, for 45 years the owner and operator of a retail furniture and appliance store in Chelsea, died yesterday in Cardinal Cushing Hospital, Brockton, after a brief illness.

Born in Roxbury, he was a graduate of Chelsea High School in 1912 and Wentworth Institute in 1916.

After retiring from Seeley's Inc. on Park Street in Chelsea, Mr. Seeley spent 10 seasons as a Red Sox ticket taker at Fenway Park.

A resident of Brockton for five years, he had volunteered there to help senior citizens with their tax returns. He also lived in Chelsea for 45 years.

He was a charter member of the Chelsea Kiwanis and the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. He also was a member of the Brotherhood of Congregation Ahavath Torah in Stoughton and Temple Beth Emunah in Brockton.

Mr. Seeley leaves his wife, Anna B. (Sloan); three sons, Howard of Greenlawn, N.Y., and Richard and Herbert Seeley, both of Berkeley, Calif.; a sister, Helen Seeley Rothchild of Florida; and six grandchildren.

A service will be held tomorrow at noon in the chapel of Schlossberg, Goldman and Solomon on Washington Street, Canton. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
