James C. Seeley, 64, of 8 Delhi St., former Jordan village trustee, died Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Seeley retired in 1981 as a supervisor for New York Telephone Co., where he was employed 37 years. He was a village trustee from 1966 to 1973.

Mr. Seeley was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former member of the Jordan Community Council. For 38 years he was a Jordan volunteer fireman and was an exempt fireman eight years.

Mr. Seeley was a World War II Navy veteran, having served aboard the U.S.S. Wasp. He was a member of American Legion Post 1227, Jordan.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie Cook: s son, Joseph F. of Jordan; a daughter, Mary Ella Franchini of Camilus: a sister, Margaret McNaney, of Senecca Falla; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Chapel, Jordan, and at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan.

Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Contributions may be made to the Jordan Ambulance Fund or St. Joseph’s Hospital Dialysis Center.
