RIPLEY - James Edward Seeley, 56, senior vice president of the Bank of Ripley, died Monday morning at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale after a heart attack. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Ripley, where he was a member, with burial in Ripley Memorial Gardens. Garner Funeral Home has charge. He also was a vice chairman of the board of directors at the Bank of Ripley. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was past president of Ripley Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a former Ripley alderman. He was a past president of Ripley Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Ripley Power & Light Board and Ripley Industrial Board. Mr. Seeley, the husband of Jere Seeley, also leaves a daughter, Sherry Seeley of Ripley; a son, Jimmy Seeley of Memphis; his mother, Beulah Seeley of Jackson, and a sister, Billie Sue Davenport of Humboldt.
