BOSCOBEL, Wis. - James W. Seeley, 69, of Boscobel died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Boscobel Area Health Care, Boscobel. He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Boscobel. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in United Methodist Church, Boscobel. Burial will be in Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials preferred. Kendall Funeral Service, Boscobel, is assisting the family.

James W. Seeley, 69, of Boscobel, died on Sunday Sept. 29, 2002 at Boscobel Area Health Care.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1932 in Boscobel the son of Charles and Lila (White) Seeley. He married Barbara Brown on Oct. 30, 1960 at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel.

He grew up in Marietta Valley, later moving to Maple Ridge where he farmed his entire life. A Boscobel High School graduate, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. He served on the Marietta Town Board, Farmers Exchange Board, Memorial Hospital Board and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, Boscobel; a son Phillip, Boscobel; a brother Church (Sharon) Seeley, Fennimore; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Phillip Seeley.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel. Pastor Stan Pegram will officiate with burial in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at the Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be given to the Boscobel Rescue Squad. The Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel is assisting the family.
