Jane Ethel Seeley, formerly of Lewisboro, died Wednesday, April 28, at Highsmith-Rainy Memorial Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C. She was 70.

Born May 17, 1933, in Mount Kisco, she was a daughter of Walter and Ethel Clark Speer. For the past 13 years, Mrs. Seeley lived in Spring Lake, N.C. She was a member of the Anderson Creek Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love of her church and family, the family said.

Mrs. Seeley is survived by three sons, George A. Bailey of Lillington, N.C., Roger Bailey of Spring Lake, William M. Bailey of Swannanoa, N.C.; a daughter, Jennie Yursik of Bethel, Conn.; a sister, Nancy Mathews of Danbury, Conn.; four brothers, Gerald Speer of Denver, Colo., James Speer of Tampa, Fla., Sanford Speer of Croyden, N.H., and Thomas Speer of Quincy, Mass. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Winfield C. Speer, and a sister, Violet Cantrell.

Funeral services were held in Spring Lake, and a graveside burial service was held in Chichester Cemetery, Pound Ridge.

SPRING LAKE -- Ms. Jane Ethel Seeley, 70, of Spring Lake, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital in Fayetteville.

Ms. Seeley was a member of Anderson Creek Community Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 8 tonight in Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake by the Rev. Ralph L. Darch Sr. Burial will be in Chichester Cemetery in Pound Ridge, N.Y.

Ms. Seeley is survived by three sons, George A. Bailey of Lillington, Roger Bailey of Spring Lake and Bill M. Bailey of Swannanoa; a daughter, Jennie Yursik of Bethel, Conn.; a sister, Nancy Matthews of Bethel; four brothers, Gerald Speer of Denver, James Speer of Tampa, Fla., Sanford Speer of Clearwater, N.H., and Thomas Speer of Quincy, Mass.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
