Mrs. Jewell Seeley, 65, of Galena, Kan., and formerly of Coke County, died Friday at 5:45 a.m. in Hendrick Memorial Hospital from injuries suffered Dec. 23 in an automobile wreck here. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bronte First United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Grady Peters, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Robert Lee Cemetery directed by Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd.

The body will be at the funeral home until 2 p.m. Saturday.

Born Dec. 18, 1909 in Coke County, she lived in the Robert Lee area until 1949 when she moved to Denver, Colo.

She married Melvin Seeley on April 17, 1952, in Raton, N.M. They moved to Kansas in 1958, and operated a motel and café there.

She was a member of the d Methodist Church in Robert Lee.

Survivors are her husband; three step-children, Mrs. Charlene Noble of Austin, Melvin Seeley, Jr. of Graby, Colo., and John N. Seeley of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. R.T. (Zelma) Caperton of Bronte and Mrs. Noel (Maxine) Perciful of 234 Saxon, one brother, Ray Ledbetter of Miami, Okla.

The family will be at 234 Saxon.
