Blue Hill resident Joanne D. (Betzold) Seeley, 67 died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003 at Blue Hill Care Center.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Blue Valley Cemetery at Ayr with the Rev. Carroll Plisek officiating. Visitation is 9 am to 9 pm at Mertin-Butler Mortuary in Blue Hill.

Mrs. Seeley was born Sept. 2, 1935 to Theodore and Hilda (Wienmaster) Betzold at Fort Morgan, Colo. On Nov. 8, 1953, she married Darrell W. Seeley at Fort Morgan. They moved to Juniata from Hastings in 1967 and to Blue Hill in 1993. She worked at Allen’s, Tempo and J.C. Penney’s. They owned and operated Seeley’s Greenhouse in Juniata and later started the Garden Gallery Greenhouse in Blue Hill where she was bookkeeper until retiring.

Survivors are her husband; two daughter, Vicki Buss of Ayr and Jenny Binfield of Topeka, Kan.; two sons, Timothy and Matthew, both of Omaha; one sister, Elaine Meyer of Fort Morgan; two brothers, Tom of Kearney and Richard of Fort Morgan; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Debra Schroeder.

Memorials may be given to the family.
