Mrs. Joan L. Seeley Formerly of Waterbury

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Joan Lilley Seeley, 84, died Wednesday, June 8. She was the wife of Henry W. Seeley.

Mrs. Seeley was born in Waterbury, daughter of Theodore and Evelyn Lilley, and granddaughter of George Lilley, the first Waterbury resident to serve as governor of Connecticut. She graduated from Vassar, and was a former president of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach. She also volunteered for the Indian River Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Greg Seeley of Washington, Conn.; two daughters, Margaret Mikels of Indianapolis, and Robin Seeley of Medford, Ore., three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements: Celebration of life was held July 2 in Vero Beach.
