Services Monday For J.H. Seeley

PULASKI – John H. Seeley, 66, Route 11, Pulaski, died Thursday at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown where he had been a patient for three weeks.

Born Oct. 6, 1906, in the town of Wayne, Pa., he attended schools there. He resided for a while in Cortland, then moved to Syracuse. He operated a logging firm in Redfield and purchased the Redfield Hotel which he operated until 1947 when he moved to Pulaski and operated Seeley’s Restaurant until he became ill. He also had operated a motel on Route 11 for a period.

He was a member of Pulaski Lodge 415, F&AM; Media Temple of Watertown and the Royal Order of Jesters, Watertown Chapter 142.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jane Ballou Seeley; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Doyle of Pulaski and Mrs. Suzanne Le Veck of Pulaski; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Florence Croakman of Las Vegas, Nev.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Park United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral.

Donations may be made to the Northern Oswego County Health Building Inc. fund in Pulaski.

Mr. Seeley was one of the founders of the local eye bank in 1960 and willed his eyes to that organization.
