COMSTOCK -- John J. Seeley, 71, of Gould Lane, Comstock, went to rest in the hands of the Lord, Friday, Feb. 26, 2010.

He was born in Berlin, N.Y. on June 1, 1938.

John proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1958.

He retired from the N.Y.S. Department of Social Services, in Albany, as a computer operator. John loved all sorts of sporting events, but watching the Giants was his favorite. He also enjoyed working with horses and enjoyed coming in a close second place at the horse shows.

His best pal was Duke, a boxer puppy, and they became inseparable while he was homebound.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Seeley, of Troy, N.Y.; his wife of 47 years, Jane A. (Reed) Seeley of Comstock; two sons, Michael, of Comstock and James.

At John's request there will be no calling hours or services at this time.

He was an anatomical gift donor to Albany Medical College, so others might be helped.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Rusten Rostenhad, Monique and the staff at Glens Falls Hospital, as well as the Fort Ann E.M.S., Granville E.M.S. and Empire Ambulance Service for their caring work over the years.

Arrangements are under the guidance of the Mason Funeral Home, 18 George St., Fort Ann, NY 12827
