SEELEY, John L. - Of Grand Blanc, age 76, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM, Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road in Burton. John's nephew, Father Al Jorgensen officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 2-4PM and 6-8PM Sunday and Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30PM Monday evening at the funeral home. John was born in Flint, Michigan on July 14, 1929, the son of the late John and Jennie (DePlaunty) Seeley and was a resident of the Flint area all of his life. John was a graduate of St. Michaels Catholic High School of Flint in 1946. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He received an Industrial Engineering Degree from General Motors Institute and was employed by General Motors Buick Division for 40 years. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and he was a member of the Toast Masters. Surviving are brother, James Seeley; sisters, Therese (Larry) Jorgensen, Joan Mick, Phyllis Nash, Katherine (John) Beach; many nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Carole Koziol and Patricia Goodwin; nieces, Martha Seeley and Gwen Thornberg.
