TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The family of a homeless man beaten to death at a Tulsa apartment complex say they're shocked at the apparent motivation for the attack.

Police say 62-year-old John Seeley was beaten by a group of men on May 31st after he threatened to report to police that they had stolen copper from the apartment building.

Seeley's family say he drifted from them more than a decade ago and they never knew he had become homeless.

Police arrested brothers Dusty and Leslie McGee on June First in connection with the slaying. The brothers and a third man -- Patrick Amos Pflueger -- were later charged with first-degree murder. Pflueger remains a fugitive.
