John R. Seeley


John R. Seeley, 58, of Lake Sheridan, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Mercy Hospital. His wife is the former Carolyn Jones.

Born March 2, 1947, in Queens, N.Y., he was a son of the late John and Vera Wesselhoft Seeley. He resided in the Lake Sheridan area for the past 20 years and was a Navy veteran. He was formerly employed as the director of credit and accounts receivable for the James River Corp., Norwalk, Conn., and for the past six years, he was vice president of credit at Harper Collins Book Publishing Co., Dunmore. He was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport Jamestown College and received his MBA in finance at Dartmouth University. He was vice president of the National Paper and Plastics Credit Group and director of Bridgeport Chapter NACM.

Also surviving are two sons, Matthew, Harrisburg; and Bryan, Abington; a daughter, Cathryn "Kate" Lowe, Allentown; a sister, Mary Jane Seeley, Florida; and a granddaughter, Isabella Rose Lowe.

A celebration of his life was held Thursday, June 9, at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Norman T. Faux, pastor, Chinchilla United Methodist Church.

Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
