Little River

Joseph Robert Seeley passed away April 23, 2011 at MUSC, Charleston, SC after a brief illness.

He was born June 16, 1937 in Buffalo, NY to the late Joseph and Mildred Seeley.

Joseph moved to New Jersey when he was 18 months old and lived in Fairlawn, NJ until his marriage to Patricia Mae Seeley on May 28, 1966. They lived in Nutley, NJ for one year and Denville, NJ until moving to Little River in June, 1999. He was very active in Little River United Methodist Church, volunteering at the church, in Sunday School and the Men's Club. He was also a volunteer at North Strand Helping Hands and an avid NY Yankee fan.

The Seeley family wishes to thank all who were so very supportive during Joseph's illness and upon his death.

Joseph leaves his wife, Pat Seeley; daughters, Karin Seeley and her husband David Heise and Kim Seeley; brother, Donald W. Seeley, wife Kathleen and their son Donald W. Seeley, Jr. and his wife, Abbey.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Little River United Methodist Church, with Rev. Randy Smith and Rev. Randi Godfrey officiating. His ashes will be placed in the church columbarium niche following the service. A memorial service will also be held at Denville United Methodist Church in NJ at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little River United Methodist Church, Journey Fund, P.O. Box 160, Little River, SC 29566.
