Judson Beeler Seeley


Judson Beeler Seeley, 79 of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday September 19, 2010 in his home from a long illness. Survivors include his wife Wyn, his children, David Seeley of Hampstead, Maryland, Sandra (Steve) Kassmeyer of West Point, Iowa, Jeffrey (Beth) Seeley of Carrolton, Texas, Lisa Johnson (fiance, John) of Frisco, Texas, Lisa (Curt) Dunn of Mt. Pleasant and Peter Kaboli of Iowa City, his siblings, Susan (Darrell) Barker of Dubuque and Nancy (Robert) Beattie of Armarillo, Texas. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

His parents and wife Kay Seeley preceded him in death.

Judson was born November 3, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Benjamin and Martha Stewart Seeley. He married Kay Cottrell on July 15th, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant. She died on September 27th, 1982. He then married Wyn (Phillips) Kaboli on August 1, 1992 in Mt. Pleasant. Judson was very active in the farming community. He was past President of National Soybean Market Development Foundation, Trustee of Sharon Cemetery Association, Director of Citizen State Bank in Donnellson, Director of Iowa Gateway, Board of Directors for Agri Pro Association and ran for State Senate in 1985. Judson loved his family and always put them first. They were very important to him. In his spare time he loved to golf and watch the Hawkeyes. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Golf & Country Club in memory of Judson. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday September 25, from 2-4 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Golf & Country Club. Iowa Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
