SEELEY - Kathleen J. "Joyce" Age 87, formerly of Forestville, died April 8, 2011. Survivors include Gail L. (Michael) Donaghue of Tonawanda, Jill M. (Kenneth) Howard of Boston, NY; grandchildren, Amy (Jon) Pahl, Matthew (Keri) Donaghue, Scott, Shannon and Jamie Howard; also three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Willard B. Seeley. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 at the HOLE-PARKER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Silver Creek where Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM.

Kathleen J. "Joyce" Seeley, 87, formerly of 11465 Allegany Road, Forestville, NY died Friday (April 8, 2011) at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving, NY.

She was born Oct. 30, 1923 in Versailles, NY the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha (Green) Flammang.

Joyce graduated from Gowanda High School, Class of 1939, at the age of 15. She then attended Buffalo State College and earned a degree in elementary education, graduating in 1943 at the age of 19. A few years later, she received a master's degree in special education from Buffalo State College.

She worked as a special education teacher at BOCES in Fredonia. Joyce was a very dedicated teacher, starting her career out in one-room school houses. She was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Gail L. (Michael) Donaghue of Tonawanda, NY, Jill M. (Kenneth) Howard of Boston, NY; five grandchildren, Amy (Jon) Pahl, Matthew (Keri) Donaghue, Scott Howard, Shannon Howard and Jamie Howard; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Willard B. Seeley.

Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek where funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Smith's Mill Cemetery in the Town of Hanover. To send condolences go to www.holeparker.com.
