EAST LIVERPOOL — Kathryn M. “Kit” Seeley, 87, of Nentwick’s Convalescent Center, formerly of Steubenville Pike Road, Salineville, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in East Liverpool on Dec. 13, 1919, a daughter of the late William L. and Effie M. (Coleman) Rayl. Living her entire life n the area, Mrs. Seeley was a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the former Highlandtown Grange and Women’s Corp of the Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department.

Her husband, Edgar K. “Ed” Seeley, whom she married Jan. 15, 1944, died Aug. 2, 1996.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth E. Seeley and his wife, Janice, of Salineville; a sister, Bessie Purdue of California; and two grandsons, Scott K. Seeley and Shawn C. Seeley, both of Boardman.

Besides her parents and husband, six brothers, Edward L. Rayl, Lawrence Rayl, Ralph Rayl, Raymond Rayl, William Rayl and Harold Rayl; and a sister, Dorothy Fryman, preceded her in death.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, with Rev. Duane Hetzer, Chaplain at East Liverpool City Hospital, officiating.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
