Kenneth Seeley

"Only one death attributed to the Fourth of July celebration was reported in Lorain County during the week-end, and that death occurred yesterday in the last event of a program of midget automobile races here.

"The auto race victim here yesterday was Kenneth Seeley, 31, of Buffalo. N.Y., who died of a crushed chest in Elyria Memorial Hospital a few minutes after his midget automobile lost a rear wheel and crashed through the fence at the south end curve of the half mile dirt track. The machine threw the driver out and rolled over, it was reported. Seeley was second in the five mile race, in which eight cars participated.

"Formerly of Akron, Seeley operated a garage on Seneca Street in Buffalo. He is survived by his wife and two children. He was taken to the Nichols Funeral Home pending arrangements for sending his body to Buffalo today."
