John Seeley, of Issaquah, died on January 31, 2004 at Providence Marianwood. He was 85.

John was born on May 2, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Jack and Anna Seeley. He was raised in Detroit and graduated from Cass Tech High School. During World War II he served in the Army Air Force. On November 27, 1951 he married Vera Buckner. They lived in Ferndale, Michigan until November 1998, at which time they moved to Issaquah. John retired from Chrysler in 1983 as a tool and dye welder. In his leisure time he enjoyed flying, shooting, and was a motorcycle enthusiast.

In addition to his wife survivors include son Tim, his wife Debra, and grandson Scott, all of Sammamish.

Private family services were held.
